Responsible Gambling
At Lightning Link Pokies AU, responsible gambling is a core commitment, not an afterthought. We believe that gambling should be an enjoyable form of entertainment — never a financial strategy, an escape from problems, or a compulsion.
Key Principles of Responsible Gambling
- Only gamble with money you can afford to lose
- Set a budget before you play and stick to it
- Set a time limit for each gambling session
- Never chase losses
- Gambling should not interfere with work, family, or other responsibilities
- Do not gamble when emotionally distressed, tired, or under the influence of alcohol
- Balance gambling with other leisure activities
Signs of Problem Gambling
It may be time to seek help if you experience any of the following:
- Spending more money or time gambling than you planned
- Feeling irritable or anxious when not gambling
- Hiding gambling activity from friends or family
- Borrowing money to gamble
- Gambling to escape stress, depression, or anxiety
- Unsuccessful attempts to cut back or stop gambling
- Neglecting personal, professional, or financial responsibilities
